Set designs!

It’s all been a bit quiet on the website (even though we’re crazy-busy getting ready for filming) so here’s a few set designs we prepared – more (much more!) cool stuff coming soon.

  1. How do you build the padded cell? Looks like furring strips for the frame? What was used for padding? Buttons? The door?

    • Hi!

The walls were made out of 2m wide by 2.4m tall plywood, the door was just a standard wooden door with a hole cut in it for the glass – it was painted to look like metal (on the corridor side). We padded the cell (and the door) with 3 inch thick foam that we ordered cut to size – this was covered in white cotton bedsheets and then holes were drilled through for the ‘buttons’ – these weren’t buttons at all but bolts with a wide washer to pull and pucker the foam and cotton in creating the ‘padded’ look.

      Hope that helps!

      Andrew.
